Maxwell's Sigma Iota Rho meets with society's president

Dr. Frank Plantan, National President of Sigma Iota Rho Honor Society for International Studies and Co-Director of the International Relations Program at the University of Pennsylvania, met with members of our Maxwell School's Alpha Chi chapter on Friday, February 5th.  He discussed opportunities available to Sigma members, including an upcoming research conference, funding opportunities, journal publication, and other topics of interest, and sought feedback/suggestions on how Sigma national headquarters can further support campus chapter activities and engage undergraduate students.

Sigma Iota Rho is the national honor society for students of international affairs, founded in 1989 by faculty and scholars affiliated with the International Studies Association.  Our Alpha Chi chapter at the Maxwell School of Syracuse University was established in 1995 by Ambassador and Professor-of-Practice Goodwin Cooke, who served as Director of Undergraduate Studies in International Relations from 1991 to 2004. 02/19/16
