Gladys McCormick, associate professor of history and Jay and Debe Moskowitz Endowed Chair in Mexico-U.S. Relations, was interviewed for the UPI article "Mexico's new president criticized for militarizing police." McCormick questions how the new force will be implemented. "The devil is in the details. It's not just about implementation," says McCormick. "It's also about how this proposal will be paid for, and how will this move from the federal to the state level.
