Near Eastern and North African women leaders visit Maxwell

Maxwell LogoFourteen women leaders from the Near East and North Africa will exchange information and ideas about promoting peace and security with several women faculty members at Maxwell on September 17.  The visitors, invited to the United States under the auspices of the Department of State's International Visitor Leadership Program, represent Egypt, Jordan, Mauritania, Morocco, Syria, Tunisia, and Yemen.  They will engage in an informal discussion with faculty from the departments of economics, international relations, and public administration and international affairs. Topics will include the role of women in political transitions, post-conflict reconstruction, humanitarian emergencies, and conflict prevention. 09/15/14
