Ruddock named executive director at MASSCreative
Emily Ruddock ‘13 MPA was named the executive
director of MASSCreative, a Boston-based nonprofit involved in statewide
advocacy for creative communities.
Ruddock, who has been with MASSCreative since
December 2017, is responsible for leading the full breadth of the
organization’s efforts to increase the funding and perceived value of art,
culture, and creativity. Founded seven years ago, MASSCreative works closely
with artists, community leaders, and supports to advocate for support and
resources needed for the success for the arts, cultural, and creative community
across the state. They are heavily involved with initiatives to expand youth
arts programs and arts education throughout Massachusetts, and these efforts
are supported by a 400-member strong coalition of arts and cultural
organizations.
In addition to her work with MASSCreative,
Ruddock is a research coordinator at MarketCast LLC, a marketing research and
data analytics firm with offices in the United States and the United Kingdom.
She has also worked as an artistic producer at the Merrimack Repertory Theatre
and as the director of the Downtown Lynn Cultural District in Lynn, Mass, and
has been involved in strategic and management positions within the nonprofit
art industry for 15 years.
