Tussing featured in "One Extraordinary Day"

Tussing,-DaleProfessor Dale Tussing was featured in the recent SU News story, "One Extraordinary Day," where Tussing details a life-changing day in Washington, D.C., 50 years ago. While working on his dissertation as a graduate student at Syracuse University in 1963, Tussing and a friend from SU boarded the bus for the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom on Wednesday, Aug. 28, 1963. Tussing says, "For me and my friend, it was the door that opened that got us involved in the Civil Rights Movement, which was a deep involvement, for as long as the Civil Rights Movement persisted."
