Van Hollen to speak at maternal health conference in Nepal

Cecilia Van Hollen, associate professor of anthropology, has
been invited by Oxfam India to participate in the South Asia Consultation on
Maternal Health: Regional Dialogue and Way Forward conference in early February
in Kathmandu, Nepal.
Van Hollen will join other academics, independent activists,
and experts from development organizations and NGOs – all of whom are leaders
in their fields. The two-day conference will focus on maternal
health issues in South Asia (Afghanistan, Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, India,
and Sri Lanka).
Van Hollen specializes in the areas of global health,
reproduction, and gender and sexuality, and teaches two classes that focus
particularly on South Asia. 01/26/15
