Jesse Lecy is an assistant professor at the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University. His research examines how structural components of civil society, such as resource constraints and accountability mechanisms, create incentive systems that influence nonprofit behavior and performance. This agenda includes research on nonprofit entrepreneurship, the organizational ecology of the nonprofit sector, and social innovation. He also works on empirical issues of poverty measurement, urban policy, and statistical modeling of community well-being.
