Accept or Decline an Offer

Accepting an Offer

MPA, MA IR and joint MPA/MA IR
In order to accept an offer of admission to the MPA and/or MA IR degree, as student must, print, sign and return the electronic Intent to Register (ITR) form(s) with a non-refundable Deposit of US $500. The e-ITR form was sent via email directly from Syracuse University Enrollment Management.  Your advanced deposit is credited to your bursar’s account upon matriculation. The e-ITR form and deposit should be sent to Syracuse University no later than April 15th to confirm your place in the incoming class. Only one deposit is required, even if a student is admitted to a dual degree program.

Students admitted to the MSPR/MAIR dual-degree program have until May 1 to accept an offer of admission. Please follow the procedures as set out by the SI Newhouse School of Public Communications to accept this offer of admission.

International Students
International students who have not been financially cleared for admission will not have an e-ITR form. International students may not accept our offer of admission until they are officially cleared by the University.  We will only extend the acceptance deadline while paperwork is in process, if the required financial documents have been sent prior to our deadline of April 15th with a written request for this extension while waiting on the e-ITR form.  These requests should be sent directly to the PAIA Department. However, your acceptance of our offer of admission will not be official until you have returned the e-ITR with required deposit.  Care should be taken to get your financial documents in order as soon as possible to avoid delays in your admission and acceptance,
