ID Card and Internet Access

Syracuse University Photo ID Card

Your SU ID card will serve as your official University identification and will provide you access to many university facilities and buildings, including Maxwell and Eggers Hall.  You are required to electronically submit your picture for your SU ID card – instructions can be found on the SU ID Photo Submission Page.

You must first activate your mail address and Net ID to upload your photo.
The Photo Submission Website activates on May 1, for 2019 Summer and Fall arriving students.  Please follow submission guidelines re: photo size and characteristics.

Summer Arriving Students:
Students beginning their program on in the summer MUST submit their photo as soon as possible and no later than June 7.
Summer arriving students must email their photo (attached as jpg file) to
Include your name, SU ID, and that you are a New Graduate Student arriving for Summer Session II with your Email Photo Submission.

Fall Arriving Students:
Students entering in the fall, should submit their photo no later than June 30.
Fall arriving students can submit all per the web portal submission site.

Internet Access at Maxwell

The school provides students with access to its local network from a number of locations in the Maxwell-Eggers complex including the PAIA computer lab and Academic Village. The Help Desk, located in Eggers 034, is open Monday through Friday from 1:00 p.m. 3:00 p.m. This is where students can go for general computing questions, to reset account passwords and configure their laptops to connect with the resources at Maxwell such as printers, files, and the wireless network.
