Economic Opportunity Council of Suffolk (Community Educator)
Areas of Interest:
Christopher Camesas is looking to continue his involvement in the fields of community/youth leadership development, life skills, and mental health, through the non-profit, private, and government/political sectors. Before coming to Syracuse University, he worked as a Community Educator with Youth and Adolescent Services at the Economic Opportunity Council of Suffolk (EOC). At the EOC, he ran and facilitated a number of programs, workshops, and events for youth throughout Long Island, NY. His usual program and presentation topics included leadership development, sexual education, and overall life skills, including handling issues such as bullying, pressure situations, and relationships.
Mr. Camesas graduated from Bucknell University with a Bachelor of Arts in History and a minor in Philosophy. He is currently attending the Master of Public Administration and Master of Arts in International Relations Programs at the Maxwell School.
In his free time Mr. Camesas enjoys reading, playing sports such as beach volleyball and tennis, singing, playing trombone, and writing music.
