Liz Giron is a proudly Peruvian economist focus on poverty alleviation and economic development. She has served as social protection Advisor for Latin American countries at the German cooperation(GIZ). Formerly, she worked at the Ministry of Economy in Peru, leading the design and evaluation of social policies and programs. Also, as Evaluation Specialist at World Vision International in Peru, she coordinated numerous evaluations on education, health, and economic development projects across poorest rural communities in Peru. She has performed consultancy work for several Peruvian public institutions and international organizations, including UNFPA and ILO. Liz devoted her spare time volunteering at civil society organizations proposing initiatives to benefit children in marginalized urban neighbors and people with disabilities. Her hobbies include cooking, dancing modern rhythms, and travelling abroad.
