The Potential for Dialogue in the Civil Service Debate." Guest Speaker: Todd Dickey, Assistant Professor, Public Administration and International Affairs, Maxwell School, Syracuse University.  Todd Dickey will discuss his ongoing U.S. federal civil service institutions project and wide-ranging stakeholder perspectives on the current state of the federal civil service and its future. Using an “integrative public administration” approach, as developed by participants at the recent “Minnowbrook @ 50” conference, Dickey will hold a roundtable conversation with the PARCC community regarding upcoming federal civil service stakeholder convenings and the implications of design choices on research as well as stakeholder outcomes.

Todd Dickey is an Assistant Professor in the PAIA Department and a faculty research associate at PARCC. His research and teaching interests are in the fields of public sector human resource management, labor and employment relations, and workplace conflict management.  


Conversations in Conflict Studies is a weekly educational speaker series for students, faculty, and the community. The series, sponsored by PARCC, draws its speakers from Syracuse University faculty, national and international scholars and activists, and PhD students.
