Political Science / Ph.D. Student
Born in Syracuse, NY (which means ten foot high snow banks do not phase her),Laura Jenkins earned her Bachelor of Science in Environmental Law from SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry (but she has never hugged a tree). Her research interests include the implications evolutionary biology has for political institutions and legal inequality, specifically she believes almost everything is related to kin selection. At Syracuse University, she will work towards her Ph.D. in Political Science with a focus in political theory and law and courts. Additionally, she plans to continue her research (often described as “weird” by her colleagues-which she takes as the highest compliment) and hopes to create an evolutionary framework for analyzing legal inequality.
