Bio

 

Farrah Brown was born in St. Andrew, Jamaica. She is a graduate of the University of the West Indies, Mona, where she pursued in Politics and International Relations. She earned a master's degree in Political Science at New York University and a post-graduate diploma in Diplomatic Studies from Oxford University. 

Farrah was a member of the Jamaican Foreign Service for twelve years, acquiring a wealth of practical experience in international affairs. In addition to assignments at the Headquarters of the Jamaican Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade in Kingston, she completed a five year assignment to her country’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York. 

Farrah intends to focus on International Relations and Comparative Politics and she has a particular interest in exploring the relationship between foreign policy decision-making and sustainable development while at Syracuse University. In addition, she maintains a strong interest in examining the role of Small Island Developing States (SIDS) in international affairs.
