Sefa Secen grew up in Istanbul. He graduated from Gazi University, Ankara with degrees in International Relations and History. His general research interests include refugees, human rights, ethnicity and nationalism, Middle Eastern and European Politics. He worked 2 years in Zafer Development Agency in Turkey. He is currently a Ph.D candidate at Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs, Syracuse University and working on his dissertation project where he is examining states’ refugee admission policies.
