Becky Schewe and her colleagues Christa Kelleher (Earth Sciences) and Teng Zeng (Civil and Environmental Engineering) on receiving a grant from the National Institute of Food and Agriculture in the USDA for her project titled, “Linking Human Behavior And Hydrological Processes Towards Improved Understanding Of Spatio-Temporal CEC Prevalence Across Agroecosystems."
The three year
project will examine how farmer decision-making affects the transmission of
pharmaceutical residue into New York waterways due to the application of manure
and bio-solids for fertilizer.
