Dorothy Kou is currently a PhD student in the Sociology Department at Syracuse University. She received her bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. Prior to attending SU, she worked as a research assistant for Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine, examining underrepresented minorities in STEM fields. Her current research interests include medical sociology, social theory, affect studies, and cultural cancer studies.
