Rebekah Orr is a doctoral candidate in the Sociology Department at Syracuse University.Both her teaching and her research are interdisciplinary, and Rebekah has taught in the Sociology Department, the Women’s and Gender Studies Department, and in the LGBTQ Studies Program at S.U. Rebekah’s dissertation is an ethnographic study exploring the relationship between queer memory, queer archives, and community. In the Fall of 2015 Rebekah accepted a full-time lecturer position at Christopher Newport University in coastal Virginia, and she now does most of her grading on the beach.
