SATSA presents: September 11th Recollection and Recognition with Dr. Elizabeth Berry

204 Maxwell Hall

Add to: Outlook, ICal, Google Calendar

SATSA is honored to introduce a personal perspective on the overwhelming acts of terrorism that occurred eight years ago. As a sister to victim, Captain William F. Burke (FDNY), Dr. Elizabeth Berry has first-hand experience with the 9/11 atrocity and, as such, has witnessed sections of the legal proceeding at Guantanamo Bay. Her shared experience sheds light upon the often times “media-overlooked” defense opportunities that were offered to the terrorist collaborators of September 11th. As a clinical psychologist at Crouse Hospital, Dr. Berry has a personal stake in the Syracuse community where she has lived for over 25 years and raised two children. Though the years drive forward, we must all maintain our profound connections to the preservation of life and liberty through national security, counterterrorism, and human rights. This is event is free and open to the public.
