Global Politics Seminar presents Arguing and Bargaining in the WTO Robert Wolfe, Queen’s University We meet at noon in 100 Eggers, with lunch provided by the Moynihan Institute of Global Affairs. Presentations in the GPS series feature work in progress. Topics can cover anything within the scope of "global politics" broadly defined. The goal is to provide a forum for constructive critique at a critical stage of revision, such as the transition from a conference paper to an article manuscript ready for submission. The format is for the author to circulate a draft paper a week in advance, which will be posted on Blackboard* to provide modest security of intellectual property. The discussant will lead off. The author will then have an opportunity to respond before we open up the conversation. *GPS papers are available on a secure Blackboard Organization site. Becoming a "member" is a simple process that provides ready access to current and previous presentations in the series: Using your SU id and password, log in to blackboard.syr.edu, the main Blackboard site. On the top, click the "Organizations" tab and then search for "Global Politics Seminar" in the box on the left. Click on the organization number to reach the "enroll" button, then enter "navigate" for the password. Click "submit." This is the only time that you need to use the GPS password. Once you have registered, the GPS site will automatically appear on your main Blackboard log-in page. You can also remove yourself at any time. Anyone without an SU ID or who anticipates attending only one session can get a copy of the paper directly from me. I also welcome volunteers for future presentations.
