China’s Booming GDP, a Focus on its Hot Investment This talk looks into the structure of China’s GDP and analyzes whether the abnormal high investment rate is sustainable. It will also study the institutional roots of ‘hot investment’ and its dual track mechanism. The speaker argues that the relationship between investment and corruption has caused accumulated large bad loans from banks which definitely impact the sustainability of China’s economy. Lunch will be served.
