Children of Heaven (1997) Directed by Majid Majidi, 88 minutes Nominated for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film in 1998, this Iranian film by Majid Majidi tells the story of a brother and sister who concoct an elaborate scheme to cover up the loss of a pair of shoes. Matters get more complicated when Ali is entered in a 4k run. Set in a small Iranian neighborhood on the outskirts of Tehran, this film intricately captures the world of these two children, simultaneously featuring its complexity and uniqueness.
