110 Israeli and Palestinian Peace NGOs: Do They Bring Peace Much Closer? Nimrod Goren- Hubert Humphrey Fellow and Executive Master of Public Administration student dicusses how a large number of non-governmental actors are immersed in efforts to resolve the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The talk will focus on the work of this sector and on the influence it has, or aspires to have, in promoting peace. It will introduce historical developments in Israeli-Palestinian civil society cooperation and will focus on the current state of affairs in the field: the type of actors involved, the kind of activities they carry out, and their impact. The talk will also relate to challenges faced by Israeli and Palestinian pro-peace civil society actors in their joint work and within their respective societies.
