Internal democracy, decision-making and management processes can make it difficult to balance the internal systems with the compelling external human rights demands. Amnesty International's democratic membership base underpins a particular leadership dynamic where change management requires resource intensive internal processes. Leadership must be balanced and effective to avoid internal conflict or high transaction costs. Lunch will be provided.
