The Limits of Networks in Social Movement Retention: On Canvassers and their Careers Dana Fisher is an Associate Professor in the Department of Sociology at Columbia University. She received her doctorate from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. In additional to publishing numerous articles and book chapters, she is the author of two books: Activism, Inc. (2006; Stanford University Press) and National Governance and the Global Climate Change Regime (2004; Rowan & Littlefield Publishers). She is currently co-editing The Routledge International Handbook of Social and Environmental Change.
