“Status Update on the News: How Social and Mainstream Media are Evolving Together” with EMPA candidate Glenn Coin -Join Glenn Coin for a discussion of social media's effect on the news business, and what that means for public policy. Glenn has been at the Syracuse Post-Standard newspaper for over 25 years, serving as reporter and bureau chief. He is an EMPA candidate with an interest in environmental and education policy issues. When: Friday, November 11th Where: 204 Maxwell Hall Time: 11:30 am – 1:00 pm Peer to peer is a series for Executive Masters in Public Administration students to share issues, problems or successes with their fellow students. Each student guest speaker will speak for about 20-30 minutes and then we will have a 20-30 minute discussion time. This event is open to all students.

To mark our centennial in the fall of 2024, the Maxwell School will hold special events and engagement opportunities to celebrate the many ways—across disciplines and borders—our community ever strives to, as the Oath says, “transmit this city not only not less, but greater, better and more beautiful than it was transmitted to us.”

Throughout the year leading up to the centennial, engagement opportunities will be held for our diverse, highly accomplished community that now boasts more than 38,500 alumni across the globe.
