“Democracy Does Not
Condone Dissent:Dissent Is Democracy” Robert Shetterly is an artist who
recently published Americans Who Tell The Truth, a collection of portraits,
short biographies and inspiring quotes by great Americans. Shetterly began the
works as a symbol of hope following the September 11 terrorist attacks of 2001.
The works comprise a book and traveling exhibit.
