"Syracuse Community Geography: Putting Public Scholarship on the Map" Syracuse Community Geography is an innovative university-community partnership that provides G.I.S. mapping and geospatial analysis support to the Central New York community. Now in its sixth year, the program has worked with over 100 different community groups, nonprofits and municipal agencies on some of our region's most significant challenges. Community-proposed topics are diverse and have included hydrofracking, access to fresh produce, literacy and neighborhood safety.
