“The Making of a Global Project: Conflict, Collaboration, & the International Space Station.” It is extraordinarily difficult to launch, much less accomplish, huge projects that are at the cutting edge of technology and politics. The International Space Station (ISS) was begun by President Reagan in 1984, saved from death by President Clinton in 1993, and completed under President Obama in 2011. The secret for sustainment has been turning conflict into collaboration across nations through uncommon leadership.
