A documentary film that stirs up talk about food, memory, nostalgia, belonging, family, community, nation, alienation, desire and disgust, politics, prejudice and power... just some of the many things that food is, and signifies to all of us.

Vani Subramanian is a women's rights activist and award-winning documentary filmmaker from India. She is currently a Fulbright Fellow at Cornell University.

To mark our centennial in the fall of 2024, the Maxwell School will hold special events and engagement opportunities to celebrate the many ways—across disciplines and borders—our community ever strives to, as the Oath says, “transmit this city not only not less, but greater, better and more beautiful than it was transmitted to us.”
