TSA, MES and the Department of LLL Present the Film: In Topragin Çocuklari(Children of the Land)

When the gypsy camp, where she lives, gets attacked, Karikaruns away and is saved by Cevher, who works as a teacher at a nearby village institute. With the support of Ismail Hakki, Cevherprovides a shelter for the orphaned girl, by letting her stay in the institute. However, the villagers do not like this situation at all. The institute gets pressured to throw out the gypsy girl. Military Section Commander Necip, who had been irritated by the existence of the institute for some time, attacks the institute and takes the teacher Kemal into custody. These events coincide with the closure of village institutes throughout the country. The innocence of the teacher Kemal gets proved in the end, but this does not change the unfortunate fate of village institutes in general.
