Keeping Core Values, Adapting to New Realities: The Case of Médecins Sans Frontières/Doctors without Borders

Médecins Sans Frontières plays an influential role in global humanitarian relief operations. Its brand name is strong and its policy and practical stances are unique among peer humanitarian NGOs. Sophie Delaunay, Executive Director of Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) USA, will speak about the organization's core identity and goals and how it strives to keep a field driven mantra while adapting to the professionalization and internationalization of MSF and to increasingly complex and diverse humanitarian challenges Delaunay has worked with MSF in Thailand, Rwanda, China, and Korea, as well as in their French and U.S. offices.

She holds a master's degree in International Business from Le Havre University in France, and a master’s degree in Political Science from Yonsei University in Korea.
