Bio: Giovanni Maggi is Professor of Economics and International Affairs at Yale University, prior to which he was Professor of Economics at Princeton University. He has made fundamental contributions in the areas of international trade, international political economy and contracts and institutions. He has several publications in top economics journals such as the American Economic Review, Journal of Political Economy and the Quarterly Journal of Economics. He is a co-editor of the Journal of International Economics and was an associate editor of the American Economic Review from 2003 to 2006. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Stanford University.
