The History Department Presents: OUR History, OUR Legacy:The Construction of Collective Identities

The subject of the Conference is "OUR History, OUR Legacy: The Construction of Collective Identities," and will feature presentations from Maxwell faculty as well as HST 495/496 distinction thesis students exploring how their research relates to the broad theme of "Identity". We will also be hosting a panel discussion near the end of the Conference on "Making us great - again! The Abuse of History and Responsibility of Historians." Refreshments and light food will be provided. Admission is free and does not require reservation.

We’re Turning 100!


To mark our centennial in the fall of 2024, the Maxwell School will hold special events and engagement opportunities to celebrate the many ways—across disciplines and borders—our community ever strives to, as the Oath says, “transmit this city not only not less, but greater, better and more beautiful than it was transmitted to us.”

Throughout the year leading up to the centennial, engagement opportunities will be held for our diverse, highly accomplished community that now boasts more than 38,500 alumni across the globe.
