Speaker: Stanley Celestin (Cornell), Graduate Resident Fellow, College of Computing and Information Science
Stanley Celestin is a computer science PhD student at Cornell University working with Guy Hoffman. Before that, Stanley received a bachelor of science in computer engineering at the University of Florida where he worked with Juan Gilbert and Kyla McMullen. He has also received several fellowships and grants including Cornell's Computer and Information Science Dream Grant, the National GEM consortium, an Alfred P. Sloan fellowship and is currently serving as a graduate resident fellow at Cornell University. His research has been in the field of human-computer interaction and human-robot interaction.
Topic: Human-Robot Social Navigation: Understanding how an increase in robot sociability will make robots better suited to join our society.
