Hytinen named executive vice president and CFO at Iron Mountain
Barry Hytinen ’97 BA (PSc) has been designated
as an executive vice president and the chief financial officer at Iron
Mountain, a storage and information management company. The appointment took
effect January 1, 2020.
Founded in 1951, Iron Mountain stores and
protects billions of assets, ranging from highly sensitive data to cultural and
historical artifacts in more than 1,450 facilities around the world. Iron
Mountain also manages a number of data centers, cloud services, and art storage
and logistics.
Hytinen comes to Iron Mountain with more than
two decades of experience in corporate finance. He was most recently executive
vice president and CFO at Hanesbrands, where he worked to diversify their
offerings and business model. He also spent 12 years with Tempur Sealy
International in a range of positions, including as chief financial officer and
executive vice president. Hytinen was a member of Comfort Revolution’s Board of
Directors, 2014-17. In addition to his bachelor’s degree from Maxwell, Hytinen
earned an MBA at Harvard Business School.
