Cristian Nuno ’17 MPA has moved to Facebook via Apex Systems as a data analyst contractor.

In this new position, Nuno will help develop better analytical protocols through Python and R statistical tools, and by increasing the efficiency of SQL queries. He also will work with teams of software engineers, product managers, sales, and other data scientists to improve the accuracy and utility of product advertisements. Apex Systems is a technology services company working in more than 70 markets across the United States, Canada, and Mexico. They provide a range of services from workforce mobilization to digital innovation.

Most recently, Nuno worked in education as a data science instructor for the Flatiron School in Seattle. Previously he was a senior data associate with the Poverty Lab at the University of Chicago, where he worked on research questions relevant to local nonprofits. Additionally, Nuno has also volunteered as an analytics consultant with the U.S. Department of the Treasury and spent eight months with the Illinois JusticeCorps through AmeriCorps.
