Philip Racicot named athletic director at Keene State
Philip Racicot ’15 BA (PSc) is the new director of
athletics and recreation at Keene State College in Keene, New Hampshire. He was
formerly senior athletic director for administration at Duquesne University in
Pittsburgh.
Racicot joins Keene State Athletics with more than 20
years of experience in athletics. He started at Duquesne as an academic
coordinator in 1994 and was later promoted to assistant director of athletics
for student services in 2000. Eventually, he became senior athletic director
for administration in 2006 and also briefly served as interim athletic director
for Duquesne in 2015.
Tanya Sturtz, Keene State associate dean of art,
education, and culture, stated that Racicot’s “wealth of experience and knowledge as a leader in athletics,
especially in building supportive relationships, collaboration, budgets,
fundraising, and strategic planning, is why the search committee knew he would
be a great fit for Keene State.”
