Visit Days 2019
Each spring, the PAIA Department hosts several on-campus visit days for our Admitted MPA and MAIR students, as well as Admitted Student Receptions in New York City and Washington, DC

On-Campus Admitted Student Visit Days
Each on-campus visit day provides a round table discussion / information session with Director of Admission and Financial Aid and current students; a review of career resources and pathways with representatives from the Maxwell's Palmer Career Center; a tour of the facility; and a relaxed lunch with PAIA faculty and students to further discuss the programs and academic life at Maxwell.
Visitors will also be able to attend afternoon classes to gain a better appreciation of our academic environment and world class faculty. Admitted MA IR students are encouraged to attend an optional information session/presentation of the myriad study abroad and internship options available with Isaac Olson our Global Programs Coordinator.
Each Monday Visit Day begins with a continental breakfast at 8:30 am. Official programming ends at 12:45, but a students departure time will depend on afternoon class attendance.

Each spring we schedule off-campus events where admitted students can meet Maxwell representatives and alumni. These are great opportunities to meet with alumni and learn more about the Maxwell program, alumni network, and professional opportunities of our students and graduates. We will post other spring gatherings as they are announced.
New York City Reception: Wednesday, March 13
Our 2019 New York City Admitted Student
Reception is scheduled for Wednesday, March 13 from 6-8 pm
at Syracuse University's Joseph I Lubin House, East 61st Street, in the Library. Light
refreshments will be served. Several alumni will be in attendance to
share how their
Maxwell education and network has benefited their professional
development. Christine Omolino will be your host.
Washington, DC Reception: Thursday, March 14
Our 2019 Washington, DC Admitted Student Reception is scheduled for Thursday, March 14 from 6-8 pm at our Maxwell home, 1616 Rhode Island Ave, NW (at CSIS headquarters) in the Concourse Atrium. Light refreshments will be served. Several Maxwell faculty members will also be in attendance, along with a number of alumni to share how their Maxwell education and network has benefited their professional development. Ryan Williams and Christine Omolino will be your hosts. Michael Schneider, our Washington, DC faculty director for the dual program focusing on Public Diplomacy (MA IR/MS PR) will also be in attendance.
PAIA Alumni Coffee Chat Month (March 15 - April 15)
Have time for coffee? You can connect with Maxwell alumni in your area who have agreed to participate in the Coffee Chats program. Through this program, alumni share their contact information and an offer to meet you at a local coffeehouse, bistro, or similar location.
Our alumni are excited to speak with you about their time at Maxwell and share how their Maxwell degrees have helped them throughout their careers. Each year, many of our loyal alumni meet with newly admitted students over coffee. These connections can be helpful in exploring our school and programs.

If you do not see alumni listed in your area city, please feel free to reach out to any of the alumni listed to schedule time to talk about the program, their experiences and the Maxwell School's wonderful alumni network!
