Requests for Extension

We will only extend the acceptance deadline while paperwork is in process, if the required financial documents have been sent prior to our deadline of April 15 with a written request for this extension while waiting for the e-ITR form. These requests should be sent directly to the PAIA Department.

However, your acceptance of our offer of admission will not be official until you have returned the e-ITR with required deposit.  Care should be taken to get your financial documents in order as soon as possible to avoid delays in your admission and acceptance.

Students admitted to the MA Public Diplomacy & Global Communications program have until May 1 to accept an offer of admission. Please follow the procedures as set out by the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications to accept this offer of admission.

International Students

International students may accept our offer of admission once the University has financially cleared you for admission, at which point you will receive the e-ITR form. Syracuse University’s Graduate School Department will alert all international applicants of their admission (and perhaps the conditions that must be met by the applicant in order to comply with University and/or U.S. Federal policies).

Once an official offer of admission is made by the Graduate School (without conditions), SU's Center for International Services will process and send all necessary documents for obtaining a student visa. For further information relating to visa arrangements and international student life at Syracuse University, please contact the SU's Center for International Services.
