Bio

Xueyi Chen is director of partnerships for Executive Education in the Maxwell School. She leads Executive Education's efforts in partnership development. Chen is also responsible for developing and directing executive leadership and management training programs for Chinese audiences. Since 2006, Chen has worked closely with Chinese government agencies, academic institutions and nonprofit organizations, and successfully managed over seventy non-degree training programs for Chinese partners.

Over the years in Executive Education, Chen has also served as a program lead for multiple short-term domestic and international training programs. Since 2019, Chen has been actively involved in the Mandela Washington Fellowship Leadership in Public Management Institute at Syracuse University. Since 2020, she has managed the Veterans Program for Politics and Civic Engagement, a joint initiative of the D’Aniello Institute for Veterans and Military Families and the Maxwell School, to train veterans and military-connected individuals to get involved politically and civically.

A native of Chengdu, China, Chen earned a Ph.D. in mass communication and an M.S. in applied statistics from Syracuse University, an M.Phil. in mass communication from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and a B. A. in international trade from Sichuan University.
