Bio
Çağlayan Başer is an assistant professor of political science. Her research focuses on the links between domestic and international politics, political violence, and gender politics. Her work is published in World Politics, and Security Studies, and her monograph titled “Public Preferences, Gender, and Foreign Support for Armed Movements” is under contract with Cambridge University Press.
Başer received a Ph.D. in political science from Loyola University Chicago in 2020. Prior to joining Syracuse, she taught at New York University Abu Dhabi and University of Illinois Urbana Champaign.
