Christopher DeCorse, professor of anthropology, was interviewed for the BBC article "Portuguese and Brazilian ships made more than 9 thousand trips with slaves from Africa to Brazil." "The idea that the Portuguese have never been in Africa is completely false," says DeCorse. "In fact, it was the Portuguese who opened Africa to the Atlantic world (Europe and America)." 08/10/18
