Anna Mayo is a doctoral student in cultural anthropology. Her research interests focus on subnational governmental institutions in North America and Europe. She examines these organizations’ present-day operations, institutional histories, cultural influences, jurisdictions, landscapes, stakeholders, the potential for and limits to various kinds of agency, and changing missions. She holds three B.A.’s (2019) from the University of Kentucky in anthropology, political science and English; an M.A. (2020) from the University of Kentucky in applied anthropology; and an M.A. from the University of York, England, in medieval archaeology (2021).
