This event is a gathering of econometricians and empirical economists whose successful goals are: (1) Bring together a group of econometricians/empirical economists and guests of host universities to discuss issues in econometrics, both applied and theoretical;
(2) Present papers for comments by participants; (3) Stimulate student interest in econometrics; (4) Help students develop their technical presentation skills by encouraging the students of host universities to participate in the meetings, contribute
to the poster session and present papers.

Participants are responsible for their own travel and hotel expenses. The conference room rate at the 1000 Islands Harbor Hotel is $155.00-$175.00 per room per night. To make your reservation, call 315-686-1100 and mention that you are part of the SUNYEC group to receive the group rate. Room rates are guaranteed until Wednesday, March 13, 2019 while available.
Transportation and Directions to the 1000 Islands Harbor Hotel
The 1000 Islands Harbor Hotel is accessible by air from the Watertown International Airport (followed
by a 30-35 minute drive to hotel) or the Syracuse Airport (followed by a 1.5 hour drive to hotel).
From I-81 South, take Route 12 West towards Clayton. Turn right on Webb St. Head to end of street for hotel.
From I-90, take I-81 north to Watertown. Take exit #47 for Route 12 North (left) towards Clayton. In 20 miles, turn right onto State St., then .2 miles make a left on Webb St., head to end of street for hotel.
Tax Exempt Status
To waive the taxes on your hotel accommodations you must either
Pay with a university credit card
One of the following Tax Exempt Certificates must accompany reservation request form to receive tax-exempt status: NYS TAX EXEMPTION - Form AC-946– or – ST-129 from each person claiming exemption if they are paying with cash, personal check or credit card and is an employee of NYS or a state run facility (if state voucher is used no form is needed)
