Since 2021, Dustin Hill has been working as a postdoctoral researcher in the Public Health Department, receiving training in epidemiology and infectious diseases, and applying his statistical modeling skills to predicting the spread of emerging diseases.
His research has been in the fields of environmental health, environmental epidemiology and public health. Hill's current research examines how to use environmental surveillance data, such as wastewater samples, to improve public health outcomes by tracking the spread of infectious diseases.
He earned a bachelor's degree from Le Moyne College. He earned an M.S. in 2017 and a Ph.D. in environmental science in 2021 from SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry.
