MES presents: Kim Jensen(2)

The Color of Exile, the Language of Witness: An Evening of Art and Poetry for Palestine Zahi Khamis is a Palestinian painter and teacher; Kim Jensen is an American poet and novelist who has written extensively about Palestine and the Arab World. In this multi-genre presentation they will share their creative work and discuss the ways that art and literature can open avenues of understanding, sustain the human spirit, and create possibilities for political and social change. This presentation will include a display of Zahi’s original paintings and prints, a slide show, a poetry reading, and an open conversation with attendees about the role of art and literature in creating peace, justice and equality for the Palestinian people.
