 “Civic Participation in Morocco.” Dr. Hakim has a Ph.D in postcolonial literature and comes to Syracuse from Morocco’s Oujda University where he has been teaching English literature for the past 15 years. His primary research interest is participatory social action and the requisite professional skills at the micro-local level such as group dynamics, project elaboration, leadership development, accessibility and active participation in decision making.

To mark our centennial in the fall of 2024, the Maxwell School will hold special events and engagement opportunities to celebrate the many ways—across disciplines and borders—our community ever strives to, as the Oath says, “transmit this city not only not less, but greater, better and more beautiful than it was transmitted to us.”
