Department of Geography Presents: Jane Read

Jane Read, Department of Geography, Syracuse University, “Hunting Patterns Among Indigenous Peoples of Southern Guyana: A Natural and Human Perspective”This talk will present results of an interdisciplinary project describing hunting patterns of the Makushi indigenous peoples in southern Guyana in the context of biophysical, cultural/spiritual, and political/management factors.  Implications for sustainability of the system will be discussed.
