Co-Sponsored by the Transnational NGO Initiative at the Moynihan Institute, Maxwell’s Center for Career Development and the Student Group on Transnational NGOs present: Career Discussion with Stanley Arumugam (International Director of Human Resources and Organizational Development at ActionAid International, a major international development NGO) Stanley is a South African national who joined ActionAid in 2008. Stanley has a PhD in Community Psychology and a Masters degree in Counseling Psychology, and had held senior positions in the field of human resources and organizational development in various organizations. His key interests are in the areas of international HR, leadership development and organizational design and effectiveness. He believes that HR and OD, together with Governance, should enable the frontline staff to deliver what they are passionate about. “Our role is to ensure the organization achieves its strategic goals through necessary support and guidance. We must remove roadblocks to performance and build capacity amongst our people at all levels.

To mark our centennial in the fall of 2024, the Maxwell School will hold special events and engagement opportunities to celebrate the many ways—across disciplines and borders—our community ever strives to, as the Oath says, “transmit this city not only not less, but greater, better and more beautiful than it was transmitted to us.”

Throughout the year leading up to the centennial, engagement opportunities will be held for our diverse, highly accomplished community that now boasts more than 38,500 alumni across the globe.
